The Crossroads of Modern Life

Have you ever paused to consider how much time we lose on “autopilot”? Modern life pushes us at a dizzying pace. As a result, we often find ourselves at a crossroads: we know something’s not right, we feel a void, a disconnection from our true selves, but why is it so hard to take that first step towards rediscovering who we are?

It’s alarming how we’ve delegated our health and, even worse, have given up or ignored self-knowledge of our own bodies, our unique way of functioning, and our singular path through this life.

In fact, it’s as if a part of that innate childhood curiosity has been lulled to sleep, transforming us, almost without realizing it, into “chronic patients” of our own existence, waiting for external solutions to internal problems.

It’s Time to Recalculate

However, perhaps it wasn’t entirely our fault that the system led us down this path. But the time for lamenting is over.

Now is the time to reverse course. It’s time to shake off the lethargy, to awaken from this automatic mode, and to take back the reins of our well-being.

Instead, now is the time to reverse course. It’s time to shake off the lethargy, to awaken from this automatic mode, and to take back the reins of our well-being.

This is where Recalculando… Your Path to Your Best Self comes to life.

This isn’t just another health blog. It’s a direct invitation to get straight to the heart of everyday matters that we take for granted or simply don’t understand. My goal is to ask the questions that make you pause, reflect, and ultimately, act.

What You’ll Find Here

My perspective as a healthcare professional, combined with an investigative and up-to-date approach, allows me to delve into the latest information and present it in a clear, concise, and relevant way for you. Specifically, we’ll explore questions like:

  • How does your body truly function when digesting?
  • What impact does light have on your daily energy?
  • Why do certain sensations manifest physically?

In short, you won’t find abstract theories here, but practical knowledge to understand your own body.

This Is Your Invitation

Ultimately, this space is for those ready to stop postponing well-being and embrace self-discovery. It’s for those who are ready to sculpt their best version. After all, health isn’t delegated; it’s built daily with knowledge and awareness.

There’s no more time to lose. It’s time to “recalculate” and embark on the path to the fullest, most authentic version of yourself.

Are you ready to awaken?

Who I Am and Why I’m Here

Hi, I’m Bárbara B. Salcedo. As a speech-language pathologist and a mother of three, I understand firsthand that well-being isn’t an isolated concept. It’s a constant dance between professional and personal life—a task every woman, as the administrator of her home and assets, knows very well.

My professional background, focused on neuro-adult rehabilitation with solid postgraduate training in dysphagia, nutritional support, and swallowing, has given me a clinical perspective and a passion for research. However, it’s my life experiences that have truly shaped my character.

My journey in fields like web development and forensic analysis has broadened my outlook, allowing me to see connections between seemingly different areas. Additionally, my social commitment, reinforced by my humanitarian work with refugees, drives me to create content that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.

My Commitment and What I Offer

In this space, my goal is to share this vision with you. Through “recalculando,” we won’t just explore topics of nutrition and health from a speech-language pathology perspective; we’ll also approach well-being from a holistic standpoint. I share my insights to promote well-being because I know that it’s never enough when it comes to learning and growing.

I’m here to be a bridge between science and the lessons of life, to help you re-evaluate your habits and build a more fulfilling and conscious existence. I invite you to join me on this path, where a passion for research and life experiences come together to inspire integral well-being.
